ENGINEERING - Industrialisation |
Industrialization is the function where the design information is correctly transferred to the manufacturing facility. This ensures that the ideas of the designer are transferred to the production floor and depending on the complexity of the product the following procedures may be implemented:
- Product readiness review
- Process design and work instructions
- Preproduction runs
- Final field tests of products
- Third party testing and approvals e.g. EMC, CE marking etc
- Prototype development
- Prototype functionality testing
- Qualification testing
- Engineering for high volume (SMD) manufacturing
- Engineering design reviews
- Enclosure design
- Manufacturing data pack development
- Automated test equipment design, test, and manufacturing
EMC/EMI testing and qualification are executed by Interference Testing and Consultancy Services (ITC), an Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Test Laboratory and Consultancy service that tests products for Electromagnetic Compatibility and assists electronics industries to solve EMC/EMI problems.
Product CE marking is implemented on the product to indicate SABERTEK’S declaration/certification that the product complies with consumer safety, health, and environmental requirements. The product may be legally placed in the market. These services are especially helpful to clients who have a first off production run on a new product.
