The Engineering Department of Sabertek provides clients (including Sabertek itself) with a wide range of expertise in the field of electronics-based product development, as well as consulting services.

Being part of a company that does high-volume manufacturing, the department is well-versed in the complexities of designing for volume production. However, clients with low-volume specialist manufacturing needs are equally well serviced.

In order to most effectively service our clients, we prefer to be involved in the development process from as early as possible. Our experience in product development ideally positions us to provide assistance from the initial phases of a project, drawing up of specifications and concept designs.

The Engineering Department also has access to resources in the fields of:

3-D mechanical modelling
Prototype manufacturing in both plastic and metal

Projects can be managed within the department that includes all the aspects of product development. These aspects include, on top of the normal product electronic design, issues such as enclosure design and test equipment design and manufacturing.

The department works according to the ISO9001:2000 quality system, and full configuration control is part of the engineering package.
